Froberg’s passion for music began during his teenage years when he started playing in San Diego-area bands. Later, he joined forces with guitarist John Reis to form the quartet Pitchfork in 1986.

Their debut album, “Eucalyptus,” was released in 1990, but the duo soon parted ways to form Drive Like Jehu, a post-hardcore band that infused noise elements with complex time signatures and extended song lengths.

Following the breakup of Drive Like Jehu in 1995, Reis focused on his punk act, Rocket From the Crypt, while Froberg pursued his interests as an illustrator and visual artist. He contributed his artistic talents to Rocket From the Crypt’s album art.
